No argument with the quality of recent era MSRPA advocacy , good people working hard , and worthy of support . If you are in a position to support two state level Orgs , join both , many do .

That said , to toot MSI's horn :

MSRPA does their excellent 2A advocacy , in addition to all the other events, activities , sanctioned competions , youth programs , etc . MSI is entirely focused on Rights .

Both structures are legitimate . No harm or shame to broadly support the shooting sports and gun ownership generally . Join both as basic members , then make your personal choices which way to send your extra $ donations , and volunteer in person .

MSI is totally independent . Flexible to move quickly , and litigate to best serve Maryland perspectives , without having to coordinate with trends in other areas , or have other layers to slow down action .

Just getting back. Typical show these days ,same as they have been . not crowded at all. A lot of the same faces . Bought couple pistol cases , sling and some targets . Ammo was well these day prices.9mm Blazer 18$. , seen 40 for 22$. Seems reasonable for today’s market. Then some where ridiculously priced. Some firearms where reasonable for today’s market I thought. Kinda what I was expecting so really wasn’t disappointed. But had some daughter daddy time. Just walking around with her seeing stuff and her asking questions was worth it . Must say I do like the target guy. Variety and price is good . Anyway it was ok / typical for the Maryland show these days .Something to do ,happy I went.

Ran into a young guy in front of the 80% kits table. He was loudly going on and on that all frames should have serial numbers. He's an FFL and he thinks it's irresponsible for children to be able to buy a kit and build it and then take it to school. I disagreed, going over the list of felonies he was suggesting and how serial numbers on 80% frames wouldn't make a difference. He kept getting louder and louder, saying he was a supporter of the second ammendment, an FFL, but ... I thought he was going to take a swing at me. He walked away. I told the lady selling the kits I did what I could to chase him away.

Sounds like the supposed 'pro 2a' douchebag who supported banning JSD from PA gun shows a while back.

If you read between the lines of his statements, he didn't like the look of the clientele.

I wasn't convinced he was what he claimed. I could be wrong, but he came across as a poser and I was about to call BS on his FFL claim when he walked away. Loudly berating a woman business owner at a gun show seems more liberal a$$hole then actual firearms dealer.
