INSERT WOOD BURNER AVAILABLE.

Now there is a wood burning INSERT WOOD BURNER AVAILABLE. It is over 10 years old, and works very well. I used it all last winter w/o a hitch, and for the last 10+years. As an INSERT is is made to slide into your existing fireplace. OTOH, I suppose one could have a base fashioned, and make it a free standing wood burner, all safety requirements taken into consideration.
If I can find them, there is a set of new firebrick to line the stove if one were so inclined. It a REGENCY model of sufficient size to heat my addition at the back of may house. (it is 22x33 feet,
726 sq.ft. It was good for us. In case you may be wondering, we moved on to Pellet stove and fuel.
PICK UP ONLY. IT GOES BETWEEN 300 AND 400 POUNDS,( THAT'S A GUESS), BUT IT IS VERY HEAVY BRING LOTS OF HELP.
