General consensus of Herters ammo?

Cabelas has Herters 7.62x39 on sale for 4.99/20 rd. box. As much as I can find, this stuff is basically re-branded wolf ammo. Anybody have any experience with this stuff?Just bought 15 boxes so I'll soon find out.

That's good to hear. I've shot some Wolf before and never had a problem with it. I've been shooting Tula recently and have had a few stove pipes on my sks, but otherwise great ammo as well.

I have used some brass cased 9mm and .380, and it seemed fine.

I've shot about 500 or so rounds of it. One light primer strike in my 6920. Flawless otherwise.

If it's re-branded Wolf then you should have no problems whatsoever.

No problems so far with Herters 7.62x54r in my mosin or .40 in my G23.

As long as your firearm is well lubed you shouldn't have any issues, at least I haven't.

I have ordered both Steel and Brass cased Herters in .223, 7.62X39, .357mag, & 9mm and never had a single issue with it.

The big shipping box (was labeled Tula) which contained all the little boxes that were labeled Herters. So far they have all gone bang.

Sounds like I should have some pretty good luck with this then. Anybody buy any yet? It's the cheapest price I've seen for x39 since I've got my SKS a few months ago.

I've had 0 problems with herter's select grade brass case 9mm 115gr FMJ

Yes, bought 200 rounds of the AK stuff a couple of months ago and all of it shot well. I ordered another 200 rounds this morning along with some other stuff.

I've shot about 100 rounds of brass 9mm and 300 round of steel .223. No problems yet.
The brass 9mm has a HRTRS case and the steel .223 is Tulammo.
