The 26/19 versions of glock 9mm have a different locking block area and recoil system than the 17. This opens the door to toss a g17 size upper on a g19 size grip, or a g19 upper on this g17 size grip(the 19x).

Locking block on gen 5 g19 and g17 are the same. This is why there is no compatibility between gen 4 and gen 5 g17 frames and slides.

What you are getting with the g47 is essentially the dust cover spacer.

I would also hope the slides and frames are interchangeable as well. Maybe the availability of a threaded barrel too.

No, doesn't fill a need for me. Lots of Glocks I do want but this one doesn't look like a massive upgrade from my G19 that I'm very fond of.

I haven't seen a reason it should appeal. I was kinda hoping you'd have one.

It’s hard to beat grandma’s chocolate chip cookies and it’s hard to beat a Glock 19, IMHO
