i'm posting this in here only because you guys are more "techy" - a good thing. now if i said "Treky" - that would be bad......:D

anywho, on a nother forum i frequent, there has been talk of commisioning a certain replacement barrel manufacturer into tooling new Glock barrels that would run the 762x25 round.

    2 questions:

    1. what, if any, CURRENT glock mag could work with this round? if not a straight swap, whatwould be the best magazine to try to crimp down, or re-tool?

    2. if a groupbuy were to be initiated, how many of you would be interested?

if this is no good, here, i apoloogize an prostrate myself in shame before the most glorious admins.

    kthxbaiz

that would be sweeeeeet. the length of the cartridge is the big limiting factor....maybe a g20 or somethin in 10mm would work just fine wih it. not sure how the extractor and all would work with the different base size though. i dont have enough technical knowledge to really be of much design help but i'd be interested in a new polymer frame pistol i could shoot 7.62x25 with

a 9mm or 10mm/40S&W slide and extractor would work fine, but it would require custom sheet metal mags, it will fit in the mag well, but won't fit in 10mm mags, it's too long, but being the plastic glock mags are kinda thick, there is enough room to fit them if the mags were made out of sheet metal. The rim is the same size as 9mm, but a couple thousndths smaller than 40/10mm, and the recess is the same as 9mm/40S&W/10mm. A CZ52 mag just barely or almost(depending on how hard you push) fits in the 45/10mm mag well, the other option would be to make an adapter, glue it to the sides of an existing 7.62X25 mag(CZ52 or TT33), and shave a thin strip of material from inside the rear of the magwell to get it to fit, but then it will only be single stack. If I still had a machine shop at my disposal, I could probably weld an adapter to a PPSH-41 drum, cut the feed lips off, and get it to feed and fit the GLOCK magwell, that would be F-in cool:D
