    That's what they should still be. I guess I'm sentimental, and maybe a little bitter over the current climate.

    +1 Even pre-Obama pricing was silly when you think about it.

    There comes a point when you have to ask yourself, "Is the price worth what I'm getting in return? A couple rough-cut hunks of wood with a piece of sheet metal and a tube for around a grand? I've had to pass recently. I just can't justify it.

    It's not even an investment.
    You won't be able to sell it to anyone in MD.
    Anyone outside of MD won't want it for that price once everything cools down.

    Guess I'm bitter also.:o My first one was $200. (and that was high for the time):sad20:

    Found a WASR 10 for $699. I know it's not the best price but I'm ok with paying it vs not ever having one.
