    I remember when I was a kid, shooting was apolitical. Now it seems it is assumed you are a right wing nut job if you like to shoot or hunt. Times have changed.

    This is great to see. I just convinced my buddy to get his HQL -and he's a Dem! He's interested in target shooting for fun, but he's a bit metro and is intimidated by the "dumpy range/salty-dog/hole-in-the-wall" stereotype. This kind of crap is right up his alley. He hasn't bought a gun yet...maybe I'll take him down there to try a few out and show him the basics.

    I was talking to a friend the other nite who I got into shooting. He now lives in Houston and was telling me about the Athena range. They offer things I can't even picture being at a range. 100 yd indoor rifle, simulation scenarios and on and on. You can rent and shoot just about anything made apparently, except for 50 BMG etc.
