Today is a day to be remembered.

"...the 19th of April in '75
Hardly a man is now alive who remembers that day and year."

    "...The patriotic gore
That fleck'd the streets of Baltimore."

At least 14 of my direct ancestors fought in or otherwise supported the American Revolution one died, Ebenezer Avery in the battle of Fort Griswold, another was at Valley Forge and many other relatives of the 14 were also involved and many of them also fought, some were wounded, and others died..

Pause today to remember the many throughout history who have made it possible for us to be here today.
