I was in my bank the other day to cash in some coins. I had a question about CDs. The teller had me go over to a desk where a Manager was working. I sat down and we chatted for 15 mins or so. When I stood up ,I noticed her looking at my waist area. I know I was printing and I know thats what she was looking at. We exchanged good byes and I left.

I do wonder what was going through her mind tho.

I choose not to carry at my Dr's office. Don't need the scale to give me away. :rasp:

    Same.

I wasn’t carrying but I put my hooded sweatshirt, keys and wallet on a table in the waiting room while I was waiting for the doctor. When he came in, he went to move my stuff to put his laptop there and I was surprised when he asked “is there a gun in here with this stuff”. I sensed that maybe he got a surprise with a previous patient.

I’ve never been called out but I think people have notice.

At Oscar Ale House in Eldersburg, I was walking back to my table after taking a piss. I noticed a guy at a nearby table really observing me pretty hard but trying to be covert about it. I mentioned it to my wife when I got back to my table and she told me both he and his wife had turned around to look at me the first time I passed them on the way to the bathroom. I’m certain that they both noticed my firearm printing.

One time at the grocery store checkout, a chatty checkout lady suddenly went very quiet. I caught her glancing at my midsection, I’m pretty sure she noticed a print.

I usually cut my own . But when my arm was wrapped up in an exoskeleton , I went to Sportsmans Barber Shop in LA Plata. It was female Barbers .

Not a hair salon, an old school barber Shop. The barbers just happen to be female. ( I didn't even know , but we were otherwise down that way , and I needed a cut .)

Any well-thumbed back issues of the Police Gazzette?

Since I have been legally carrying, no. before that? No as well, because I would NEVER break the law even if it is constitutionally allowed, being all law abiding and stuff.

I saw someone at Wegmans last week who was printing. I wasn't sure at first it was a handgun, but ended up 90% at second glance. Didn't call him out, though, because I'm not a jerk (debatable). He might have been the first person I've actually noticed. Even though I carry almost always, I seldom think to look for other fellow travelers.

I think I was spotted yesterday at Wegmans. It's time for laundry, and I needed to make a quick run for a few things and ended up wearing an old, worn, too small t-shirt. The attendant at the self serve area was acting a bit suspiciously, and was excessively attentive. Either that or he was wondering what my overweight middle aged body looks like naked. 50/50 I guess?

I've found that a slight repositioning of the gun can make a huge difference.

When I got my permit in 2011, I got the super slick 5.11 tactical vest. Total noob. I had my G23 in the holster in my totally covert get-up. A Baltimore County officer came up to me as I was filling my tank. He pretended to be interested in my car, asked how I liked it, then asked if I had a permit to carry. I said I did and asked if he’d like to see it. He said he didn’t need to see it, and wished me a good day.

Back during the last voting I did for the election I noticed a man at a voting booth that had his shirt lift up and expose his carry gun. Not sure how obvious it was for the average person there but nobody else appeared to notice. I really wanted to say "hey dude your carry is out" but I didn't. And on top of that I believe it is a big NO NO to carry on or near school property. He should consider himself very lucky.

He thought you were Michael Bane with that vest.

Does being called out for NOT carrying count?

About a month after the Freddie Gray Riots, I had stopped for a refill of my caffeine of choice at the Royal Farms near the MSP BWI Barracks. Two troopers (assigned to a single cruiser conveniently parked next to my car) came up to me as I was returning to my car (Vol FD tags) and this was the conversation:

TRP1: "Evening. Curiosity question for you - are you carrying?"
Me: "No, sir; I don't have a permit and wouldn't want to break the law."
TRP1: "If I were in your shoes, I'd be carrying everywhere I went these days; y'all are at risk too. Ain't none of us gonna say a thing about it."
TRP2: "Have a good night; consider your options."

Is it out of line to tell those troopers “nice try Fed!” at that time? Asking for a friend.

Bad shirt choice, but, you know, laundry day. Too hot to wear an over garment. I knew it wasn't great, but, screw it. Most people don't notice anything. I'm guessing the guy at Wegmans who is there to make sure people actually scan their stuff (and to help here and there), may be paying more attention.

Some days I really care. Some days I couldn't give a crap. Guess what yesterday was.
