Yeah, I can relate to the "weren't many salespeople at the gun counter" when it comes to Bass Pro Shop, or at least at the one in Hanover, MD.I didn't shop around, although Bass Pro Shop web page showed it on sale but not in stock. I went there first, but there weren't many salespeople at the gun counter, and there was a long wait, so I went to Cindy's to hopefully test a few and purchase it there, but it was a 2.5+ wait for the range, and the gun counter was crowded. As a last resort, I stopped at Tyler's. They were higher than the advertised price at Bass Pro Shop, but the experience of shopping for my first handgun was great. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door, got outstanding service, and wasn't rushed.

On a side note, I got my first gun going through gunbroker.com . There are additional fees you have to consider when going this route and the gun has to be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer where you would pick up your gun. With all things considering, it turned out to be the best deal for myself.
