I live so close to DC and MD that their challenges and victories mean a lot to me. I got into shooting a few years ago during one of the big scares. I generally only own scary looking guns.
I fly commercial frequently for work/family and regularly transport firearms (legally of course) when I do. I've done this enough that I feel I'm becoming an expert. Once you realize that it's pretty simple AND that it can vary from trip to trip, it can be done confidently.
I didn't grow up around guns or pay much attention to politics. Now both are a keen interest. I've been following the DC cases very closely and really appreciate the learned commentary as well as reading the case documents.
