Hello from Rockville

I luckily stumbled into this forum for MD shooters. The comraderie and wealth of info is very welcome to this guy, who has shot anything since a kid.
Now 63, I want to learn to shoot a handgun. I hunted as a teenager with rifle and shotgun, but never a handgun. So before I leave this mortal coil, I want to do some things I enjoy.
I have a Civil War Remington New Army .44 percussion, that I hope to trade for a working revolver. The reaction to the Newtown shootings has roiled the gun market so much I don't know how I'll find a gun and ammo, but thats next on the list.
I probably won't have much to add here, but thanks to you all for your input.
PS. Seven Pines and the Battle at Frasier's Farm is where my namesake caught a Minnie Ball in the leg.
