I just got a Henry H001 .22lr/l/s repeater and took it to the range this past weekend. To my displeasure it failed to load a single round properly. Now I've read up on common FTF malfunction causes with most of the answers being "rack it hard not soft". However I had been racking it hard at the range. It seems that when the round is cycling up and into the bore, it enters the bore at an angle and is not elevated enough; and then once the projectile is into the bore at an angle it can't elevate the round anymore because it becomes lodged. I have been babying each round into the bore with tweezers. Any suggestions or possible causes?

    Thanks,
    Kyle

Before you send it back to Henry. Lube the internals up real good, and then some more.

They like to be run wet.

Ours feeds like clockwork. Only had 1 or 2 misfires, and my friend whose ammo it was said it had been giving him some problems in his guns too.

I'd second the idea of sending it back to Henry. The only time I've contacted them their service was terrific.
