How Many Firearms Do You Take to the Range

2-4 depending usually 2 handguns and 2 rifles, or whatever my wife wants to shoot.

Back in Colorado, 4-5 rifles 2-3 pistols, somewhere around 700-1000 rounds.
Here, usually 3 is the most I will take and the mixture varies.

I usually like to bring 2-3 rifles and take my time, it also makes cleanup much faster.

Handguns, two usually, a .22 and a CF. If one's a revolver, so's the other, if one's a semi, they both are. As close to the same platform as possible, i.e., Smith k-frames, 1911s. If a Luger, then my Ruger Mark II.

Rifles, no more than two. Any more is too much to hump up and down the hill at Hap Baker, which is where I usually go.

2 to 4 handguns depending on how many I have of a given caliber. I only shoot one caliber at a time because I'm too lazy to sort brass.

If I'm going just to shoot for fun, I'll usually take two rifles and two handguns. If I'm going and I have a specific mission, then that will depend. If I'm zeroing a site or scope, I'll generally take that firearm and one other. If the firearm I want to work on is a long gun, I'll take a pistol as the extra. If I'm going to work with a handgun, the other firearm will be a rife, usually!
