I sat in on the HQL/W&C class that my wife took a couple of weeks ago in preparation for her to get her W&C and HQL applications in before the gubernatorial inauguration today. Yes, we might need some tin foil hats over here but we both feel that a W&C permit isn't going to get any easier to obtain under a new administration.
The W&C application was pretty smooth. No complaints on the interface or process at all.
The HQL was a different matter entirely.
Applying for the HQL takes you to an older system that requires a different registration. My wife is on a MacBook using Safari FWIW.
She went through the account registration process and couldn't log in. She was met with "the password or username entered is incorrect. Please try again." So we go to the password reset/retrieval process. We get "We were unable to find any records associated with your search criteria" and back to the registration page. We try to register and we are told that email is already in the system.
We contacted the support email, msp.hql@maryland.gov and have been trading emails with an individual who does nothing but takes us through these steps over and over again.
Has anyone experienced this and if so, know how they got through it?
