HQL Process update

Okay, I was starting to get worried because some folks seem to get their HQL in a day or two.

NOBODY has gotten theirs in a day or two. Their background checks may have been done fast but they didn't get their actual card that fast. Your at about the average time frame. Be patient grasshopper. I know I wasn't. LOL

5/30:
Fingerprints taken during lunch break, about noon, HQL app submitted (around 1:30 pm);
All except Dept Health Mental Hygene Complete (DHMH). (Dept Juv Svs not applicable) by 3pm. Whoa, that was fast.

6/2: DHMH still incomplete
6/3, 10am: Active. 2014-0081xx

6/10, received physical card in the mail.

I went to MD Livescan in Glen Burnie. Very professional and courteous. No appt, I was in and out over lunch break. The whole thing set me back $126 ($76 for fingerprints and $50 for the fee) and about an hour and a half including travel. For training I used and attached a scanned copy of my hunter safety card - I could have also used a registered firearm, but I thought I try the hunter safety card for kicks.

I'll be curious when I get the physical card.
Finally got the physical card 6/10.

active status with license # and exp date.
Receiving card within 24 hrs would be virtually impossible. I should have been more clear. I am surprised in the speed of active status though.
I only got it because I am waiting on an SBR and was told I need to have HQL to take rifle home once ATF paperwork comes in.....

I was a little surprised mine came back so fast too. If only they were this efficient at catching the real criminals.

Did Prints and apps on May 24th.
HQL went active at about noon today, 6/9. I went straight to my FFL to start a transfer before 1 PM!

i had the same problem and i tried 3 different computers and 3 different browsers ...then on a whim pulled out my old laptop from under the bed and used an older version of explorer and for some odd reason it worked...that was the only page i had issues with on any of the computers

my girlfriend submitted paperwork 5/26 (memorial day) active the 28th and had card in hand the 31st......

The process seems to be speeding up, but there is still quite a bit of variation.

Other than common names, what seems to be driving the variation.

Also I am surprised we only have just over 8k, almost half way through the year

Howdy, My HQL went active 09-June (8 days after submission) but I have not received a card in the mail after 13 days. Is this common? Suggestions?

It can take 2 weeks. You should receive it any day.
