I'm traveling for work, and saw an M44 in a shop today. It's a 1952, and after further research I believe it's Hungarian. It's well loved, but I wouldn't say abused condition. Numbers didn't match and it was missing the cleaning rod. I really liked the stock. it looked similar to some Hungarians i saw online that had some white rays in the grain pattern. They had $300 on it. What do you guys think its worth? I have a Russian M44 and love shooting it, and we know these Mosins are addicting so of course i want it but i definitely dont want to overpay. BTW they also had a T53 at $250, so I am hoping they are pricing high and willing to negotiate.

Thanks guys. I knew the t53 was way high so I should have figured the Hungarian was as well. I have just never seen one before. I doubt I could get them low enough to make it worth it. I'll keep looking. Half the fun is the hunt.
