Two roommates are friends, and live in Maryland. They are really good friends. Their names are Alex and Bruno.
Alex and Bruno are pretty good buddies and they are living in peace. Alex surprises Bruno for his birthday, and buys him a brand spanking new XDm 9. Bruno is excited and can't wait to start taking his new XD to the range, but is concerned about having the pistol transferred first. Alex's schedule is such that getting down to the MSP barracks at the same time as Bruno is kind of difficult.
After a few months, Alex and Bruno make it down to the local MSP barracks (mid-Feb 2013) and initiate the transfer. The trooper says it can be transferred to Bruno after 7 days, but the paperwork must still be signed once Alex gets the paperwork back in the mail.
A few weeks pass, and Alex starts to act weird and doesn't want to hand over the XD "just yet", but it is kept in a secure location accessible to both roommates (the only occupants of the address they share). Alex eventually announces that he is tired of Bruno's lifestyle and wants to move out.
Can Bruno stash and posess the XD since the original 7 days have passed? From what I understand it's the responsibility of the transferror to collect the signature. Or can Alex "indian give" it, retain the pistol and call MSP and cancel the transfer, even after receiving the "white" copies of the MD paperwork?
