This is another option. Have a bunch of Olights, but the Jetbeam Raptor series probably have the best user interface of ANY modern EDC light, tail click switch, and a ring, turn it for variable output, has a detent spot to lock off, can pre-set it intuitively before turning it on. Much easier than Olights short press/long press tap 3 times stuff. Mine is a 10+ year old RRT-0, still runs perfect, ran a couple classes with it, has been an EDC for a long time while my Olights usually live in cars or at home. They also use adapters to take a variety of batteries both rechargeable and disposable.

I have flashlight fetish like many , I have probably 20+ flashlights. But the best all around flash light I have it's a Wuben and it's my edc, $25 . Too long to tell you all about it, read here.

WUBEN C3 Flashlight 1200 High Lumens Rechargeable Flashlights 6 Modes Tactical Super Bright LED Flashlight, IP68 Pocket-Sized EDC Flash Light for Emergency, Rescue, Hunting, Inspection, Repair https://a.co/d/4zW4nyy
I just bought this one from Amazon. I think I'm going to like it.

This little Wuben C3 is so nice, I just bought a second one from Amazon, to keep on my motorcycle. They're on sale again for $25.49

I just got a Fenix TK30; it's a real pinpoint spot flashlight, uses some kind of modified laser technology. It supposedly has a useful range of 1200 meters, though when I tried it last night I was unable to find a long enough straight-line stretch to verify. It will light up a deer over a couple hundred yards distant, without a lot of extra wasted spillover of photons.

I admit the usefulness for a bright flood that lights up the immediate area, but that's not my preferred usage. This Fenix is the bomb for me.

Here is all the rage now since SHOT SHOW
    Nitecore EDC27

I picked one of these up recently. Freaking outstanding EDC light for the price (~$90). The digital display indicating current setting and corresponding battery time remaining at that level is an very useful feature. Charges fairly quickly. Nice range of settings.

Really like the Surefire G2X's in yellow. Bright, rugged and compact. I like the yellow so it's easier to find when you lay it down while it's turned off (same reason I buy DeWalt tools...lol)

I’m getting one too. Not my photo, but damn, that’s a lot of flashlight for such a small package.

It is certainly compact. I'm a fan of flat lights due to the no roll factor and sitting in the pocket less obtrusively.

Buying cheap chinese flashlights is like a crap game. You never know when it will start having issues.

Buy a well built light like Fenix and Olight that use 18650 rechargeable batteries and you won't be disappointed and won't have to buy more that once.
I have a Fenix PD36R Pro rechargeable, this is a bad ass light and compact. I guarantee if you shine it in someones eyes on high, day or night, they will turn their head. @ $120.00

I have the PD35 Tactical and it too is a burner. I use 18650/3000ma batteries and they run for a long time. If you accidently turn this on in the super mode, you will be a crispy critter in no time.
