ID this Bayonet

Well, I know it's an M1 Garand bayonet.

I was talking to my cousin last night and saw this sitting in the garage. I asked if it was an M1 Bayonet and he said he didn't know, but he said I could have it
Now, there is no date stamp on it, but I found a serial number and manufacturing stamps. I did a little research and found out that the U.F.H. stamped above the handle was from a place in NY called Union Fork & Hoe. I was hoping you guys could help me figure out some more details/history on the thing.

You need a Garand to fit the Bayonet

If the blood groove goes to the end, it's a 16" 1942 cut down to 10". If not, it'a a 1943 made with a 10" blade in the first place

Yea it's an original 10"


Inigoes, noticed something interesting

This one has no period after H in "U.F.H."
Mine has it. Think that's anything or just an inconsequential detail?
