In case you haven't heard, Prince Georges County will now require all homes with an attached garage, natual gas or propane heat or appliances, or a fireplace to have a carbon monoxide detector on every level of the house starting tomorrow July 1st.

Thought I'd post it up in case anyone else missed it, because I just heard about it this morning.

According to what I've heard, it will be passively enforced, meaning they are only going to check if you have to call fire services or something to your home.

Good. They need to inform people how to properly position them.

first thing i installed when i bought my home were combo units

previous owner didnt even have a smoke detector, and they were both paid FF

Now that there is funny and somewhat ignorant of them. I was a volunteer FF and I have Smoke both ionization and photoelectric and CO on every floor.
