Info on AKM Receiver/Builder

I'm looking into buying an AKM but I don't know much about this builder or if its a personal build with this AKM receiver. I don't have any pics but it says

"mod MD s 4"
and "DC Industries, Inc" underneath in front of "mag well."

Quick googel search if found this company that works with steel

I believe that DC Industries receivers are considered to be excellent. Doesn't tell you much about the build itself, unfortunately.

DC Industries sells their receivers under their "NoDakSpud" business. Best receivers out there that aren't factory original with the fun hole (so to speak).

As mentioned, doesn't lend any credence to the build itself, but it's a start.

Regarding the situation with rifles over the past several days, and my lack of funds to ourright purchase an AK, I am thinking about buying the receiver and waiting till later to build it, when I get more money. The receiver that is registered and needed, isn't that a little different than for an AR. By that I mean, where does a trunnion come in. It does not appear to be as easy and modular as a AR. I do not know much about Ak's, I am an AR guy but would appreciate some info if possible. Thanks.
