Did a search on this prior to posting....

I know there are a BUNCH of new VZ owners out there, with the various IP threads moving these things before they are gone.

One of the difficulties with the VZ platform, has been trying to find some decent mounting options for optics. These guys took a different approach, and rather than going for ultimate accuracy, have developed a system that is more than adequate for social work out to 50 yards and maybe 100.

Would be curious if anyone has seen or tried these. Looks like an option if you are not interested in distance shooting, which the VZ can actually do fairly well. Have a look....

Looks interesting, might have to give it a try.

The first VZ mount I bought was this one http://scoutscopes.com/products/vz-mount-with-35-inch-rail or some better pictures here http://www.amazon.com/VZ-58-CZ-58-VZ-2008-CZ-2008-Rifle/dp/B00IMKJP5Q

It uses the pin for the original rear sight and 4 set screws and was very hard to get zeroed (4 set screws on the mount affected adjustment big time.) When I did get it close the set screws came loose.

I gave up and bought one of these http://www.cncwarrior.com/product-p/24838.htm

    so far so good

I was extremely skeptical about the ramlite rail covers. However I have heard they work fairly well for their intended purpose. That saidI have been considering one since I don't want the red dot sitting out on the gas tube. I "may" try it.
