I searched in this subforum but didn't come up with much.

I was browsing for a 9mm AR upper assembly and found this:
    https://davidsondefense.com/Davidso...andguard-Assembled-or-Unassembled_p_3873.html

$175 for the assembled upper, and another $100 for the BCG and charging handle seems... cheap. Or maybe as a '13er my gauge for what's cheap is skewed. Has anyone used Davidson Defense products?

I wouldn't expect much from that upper. $15 to assemble does not give me a warm feeling either.

It is cheap enough to give it a try but I would build it myself.

Even if you have a complete lower you will still need 9mm AR mags, a magblock and a heavier buffer, at a minimum.

You get what you pay for. This simple rule has been proven true throughout my life. There are no free lunches in this world.
