Bought myself a little rifle at the local gun show. It's a pre-1948 Stevens Model 15. Can shoot .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle. It's a single shot bolt action. Decent wood stock....very little corrosion/rust...came off with a light coat of Hoppe's and a gentle hand with some 0000 steel wool.

And yes, I only paid $50 (tax included) for it.

    .
    Nice. Good deal.
I've always been drawn to those old single shots.
Much better to spend $50 on that than more on one of the new singles.

I take it you don't own any Mosin-Nagants then?? :D

Nice score Joe, looks to be in decent shape too.

I had a Mosin once....I guess I am the only person who didn't really care for the rifle. It was fun for a while.

This one has a couple of very minor dings in the wood, but it's at least 65 years old.....It looks great for the age.

They're fun, in a brutal sadistic kind of way.

A few dings ain't too bad, could always steam/iron those out if you felt so inclined.
