On a whim I called Tim Hafer's shop to check out if he had a Marlin XS7 in 8mm-08. He did not but said he had a used XL7 in .270. As I was looking for just a Marlin action the XL would work for me. I drove the hour to get to his shop and found the rifle to be perfect, not abused, and at a reasonable price. The paperwork was completed and submitted with the usual delay come back. He said they would call me when the approval came thru, which they did. I was surprised as I normally have to call the other places to see if the approval came in. When I tried it out at my shootin’ place I found it was better than expected, the gun was exactly what I wanted.
As has been said before, “The friendly and helpful service by Tim and Zane is a bonus that is greatly appreciated”.
Thank you Mr. Hafer and Zane. It is a pleasure doing business with you and I hope to see you more often.
