    Yeah, saw that. Maybe when it was imported was after the unification?
    There may also be commercial proofs with a later date like 89 or something.

    Got one of the "gunsmith special" CZ 50's from Wideners Friday.

    Functionally it looks great, so I tore it apart and found this :rolleyes:

    Pretty hefty crack on the frame. Not familiar enough with blowback pistols to know if I should write it off, or can it be welded? Or is it just fine to shoot as is?

    *edit: I found this old thread and it appears he has a similar "crack" so maybe that is a stress cut? If so I cannot find anything wrong with this particular pistol for 1/3 the price of other CZ 50's.

    The "crack" under the barrel looks normal where the sideplate comes off,
    but as the good Reverend suggests, take a real hard look at that chamber.
    BTW thanks for that link to the disassembly of the CZ50!

    I'm thinking the OP must be talking about the area of the frame where the barrel presses into. That needs investigation. The seam in front of the trigger pin is normal..
