Any leads as to where this is available locally? I want check one in person and possibly avoid transfer fees.

Is there a flat(er) trigger avail? I finally got the DB9 out to the range. I don't find the overall recoil bad but the trigger curves down forward to a sharp point that puts a serious hurting on the bottom edge of my fingertip.

Also, can anyone recommend a holster?

Careful, I hear it’s the 3101st round that gets you.

Nice report. I’ve been interested in one of these for a while now. Current pocket rocket is a Ruger LCP MAX.

I bought the 'Sticky SM-5' which specifically lists the DB9 on the label. IMO, its a complete piece of crap. It has zero positive retention and the gun will drop right out of it. The inside should be sticky. I can also easily see if there was something else in my pocket it could slide in and hit the trigger. The holster is loose enough I can put my finger on the trigger and shoot it!

I'll take a look at that Kydex holster. I think that is something more like what I am looking for in terms of keeping the trigger covered.

I might just have to buy a spare trigger and do some cutting/welding to mod to it. Paying more attention to it tonight it looks like the sharp square bottom corners is what was biting me. I'll probably start with just rounding those edges.

I have heated and bent and re tempered some triggers when they are made of steel. I think the DB9 is MIM and that is why I didn't play with it. If I try to stage it, like when working up loads, it will bite me. If I just draw and fire, I don't get the same effect. Go figure.

I just bought a spare trigger from them this morning for about $12 shipped. Of course I then get the +1 extension back in stock email this afternoon. :( Anyone near MoCo want to go in on some extensions?

They think the extensions are made of gold for the price they are selling them for.

I broke down and got the extension. It's solid aluminum, and improves the grip. For the price they could at least include the tiny allen wrench you need to install it. I had to rummage through all my random and miscellaneous allen wrenches and finally found one to fit.

That little monster is a beast to shoot. The difference between it and my P365 is profound, yet the Diamondback is not all that much smaller. I find the edge of the trigger guard chews up my middle finger, right where the guard is thinned down to allow a higher grip.

That's why they make bandaids.

I have thought about sticking a piece of Dr Scholl's moleskin on the trigger guard.

I think I'll try to keep my gunfights under 25 rounds or so. I think that's the way to go.

You are correct, they aren’t much different in size, but the p365 is a little over 5 ounces heavier. That make a huge the difference in recoil.

Oh yes. I just looked it up. Those five ounces make a huge difference.

I was shooting my full size M&P, my M&P 9c, my SIG P365, and the DB9 Gen4 side by side. There was no practical difference in my performance with the first 3 guns. I shoot the SIG pretty much the same as the full size M&P. But with the Diamondback my groups open way up.

I am definitely going to have to work more with the Little Beast, about 18 or 20 rounds at a time.
