I would love to have the next version of the MagnetoSpeed send chrono data directly to the Kestrel via Bluetooth.

I wonder if they will invest in building a cheaper competitor to LabRadar?

That's pretty great news. Magnetospeed has a good system overall, but could really do with a modernized control box for the bayonets, or maybe a control box that was purely a Bluetooth interface for a smartphone app. Both of those are things that Kestrel has done before, and successfully.

I'd also love to see a cheaper LabRadar competitor, but I doubt that's in the cards with this acquisition.
