How long does it typically take for them to respond?

I'm still waiting on a reply to one from May, and I guess it'll just take a while longer? Is it still 90-days?

Relax. It's not for something stupid. It was clearly and specifically written. I ain't no fool.

No seriously, a letter submitted in May warrants a phone call. That is if it wasn't a form 1,3 or 4 those still take 3+ months. 5320 forms should be back to you in under 30 days.

I seem to recall it took them weeks to answer one of my questions and when they did the answer came with a admonishment to contact the local field office with my questions in the future.

So maybe that's the secret to faster service...?

Problem with that is that if you contact a normal field agent with NFA questions... They may not be trained in that field. Much like asking most local cops about specific SB281 laws.... They have no idea.

Don't hold your breath.. I submitted a question the first of the year.. still waiting... lol

They were good with early communications, then said it was going to an inspector for a written reply... that was 7 mos ago... :envy:
