leupold scope?

I'm looking for a Leupold scope to put on a DPMS Panther 16" .308. This gun is primarily going to be a range gun but I also intend to get a few deer with it. Any ideas?

No sir. 5.56 loads.
The SPR is a 100 to 300m 'very accurate kit'.
