    Frederick Sherriff location

Went to Frederick Sherriff location on Airport Drive. No issues or wait time. They have 3 workers setup on a table waiting for you.

    Good to go.

Maybe that includes the HQL application itself?

There is no paper application. It is all online. You need the PCN number from the Live Scan to proceed with it.
BTW Absolute Investigations on Joppa road does it. They are in Towson.

Did you notice the hours? Particularly if they were there on Saturday?

EDIT: Decided to try my own googling skills!
Reminder, increased fingerprinting hours begins today at the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office. Fingerprinting services will now be three days per week, from noon to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The goal of the office is to make it more convenient for citizens to have their fingerprints taken for employment, licenses, permits and other important issues like adoption and child care services. The Sheriff’s Office will continue to accept credit/debit cards, checks and money orders as payment for fingerprint fees. Cash is not accepted. For more information contact the Fingerprint Information Line at 301-600-4058.

I just did mine at the Frederick Law Mall (Sheriffs Office) just behind the MVA. Took about 20 minutes with three others there. They charged $54.50 and also stated 72 hrs from the scan to fill out the HQL application. They also said go straight through the application, do not let it time out.

I would say no since you do not need a HQL license.

Exceptions to possession of the HQL License
    A Licensed Firearms Manufacturer.
Active law enforcement officer or a person retired in good standing from a law enforcement agency of the United States, the State, or a local law enforcement agency of the State.
Active or retired member of the United States Armed Forces or National Guard and possesses a valid military identification card.
A person purchasing, renting or receiving an antique, curio or relic as defined in federal law.
    Maryland licensed firearms dealers.

    Many Thanks, Freddie
