Does anyone have any load date for the 9mm 124gr HST as loaded by Federal? I came across some projectiles that appear to be seconds, not pulls. The cannelure is low on the case compared to a factory round or three that I pulled. I don't think this is a big deal, as the factory rounds don't really crimp into the cannelure anyway, but when I run all the load data through GRT for most standard 124gr HP's, they are hot due to the length of the bullet and seating depth (trying to match the factory rounds as close as possible).

I suspect they are loading with Power Pistol based on what I pulled and the charge weights. I have none of course, but have titegroup and HP38 I can run. I have the load data for the hydra-shock, but I don't have the dimensional specs (length) of the hydra-shock to compare. They are loaded to the same length though. Just curious if anyone has gone down that road before I start the trek.

I've long suspected that Federal likes to use Power Pistol, or whatever the canister flavor equivalent is this week, in other loads too.

The charge weight fits in line with the load data and velocity data that I have to work with. It's PP or a nearly identical powder in burn rate in the rounds that I pulled (they are a few years old).

I have loaded 9mm 124 gr HST (pulled) using BE86 with success. BE86 has a flash suppressant and is close to PP. I used factory OAL and worked up the load using a chronograph to clone +P loads. Did the same with 124 gr standard load and Speer 9mm GDHP +P. You will have to do your own work but it can be done using PP, you will just have a lot of flash and bang. Go to the Speer Load Data web site for starting info. Speer.com

I run 4.2 WW231 with XTPs and they work just fine.
