I need to find a gunsmith in the Mt Airy area.

My buddy has a Winchester Model 12 20ga shotgun. His son fired it with the end clogged with dirt and blow out the side of the barrel.

We tried to remove the old barrel to replace it, but it's either seized up or we don't know what we are doing (my guess is the latter).

He has a replacement barrel and it looks like he needs a good gunsmith to get this working again.

I am familiar with The Gun Shack (not an IP) in Mt Airy, but I don't know if they have a gunsmith or if they are any good.

    Any Suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Rob.

Go to Bollinger's very nice people, Gun Shack had a part time smith some years back I left a gun there for months on end never even got looked at.
    Good Luck!

Gun Shack hasn't had a gunsmith for years.

For the problem you describe, I would take it to Bollinger's.
