    Lower marking question RESOLVED

I've finally decided to put in for a Form 1 on a 22lr SBR, but I have a question...

I have one of these Anderson receivers I'd like to use marked "Caliber: .223/5.56" and it transferred on the MSP 77R as "5.56mm" and type "O".

Do I just ignore that and proceed? Or should I use a receiver marked MULTI or w/o marking?

ETA: I know it doesn't matter federally, but what I'm asking is about the Maryland laws.

Maufacturer, caliber and location of manufacture should all be marked along with ser#(which already exists)

Just get .22lr engraved with your name (or trust name) and city

If your barrel is already marked .22lr. It meets the caluber requirement

K, so it sounds like I shouldn't worry about it. Barrel doesn't have 22lr engraved on it, but I'll do that the same time I do the receiver.

Now we'll see if they'll approve a 24" OAL 22lr SBR. Hopefully the answer is yes, since, you know, copycat doesn't apply to rimfire. I attached a letter to that effect with my "paperwork."

Done. Submitted to the ATF. No turning back now. :P

Let us know how this goes. I've been thinking of doing the same thing but have held off since all SBRs are currently being denied.

    WTH I'm going to do a 9mm and a .22lr tomorrow.
