    Well, I've learned a lot.
    As was stated, one cannot boresight a rifle at a close distance. I wasn't even near the paper.

    I split the rifle and found a bench rest in the closet at the range and boresighted it at 50 yds. This got me surprisingly close. Fine tuned to 50 yds, then did it again at 100 yds.

    An optic at full zoom showed me just how much I wiggle. Every breath, every muscle twitch or tremor. Whew.
