There is some speculation that the new Magpul magwell will be a drop in fit for Remington bottom metal in any stock, not just the new Magpul stock. I've pre-ordered two to find out. I also pre-ordered on of the stocks, but it would be really nice if these magwells were a drop in fit for my HS precision stocks. I'm sure it won't work in every application, but if it works in mine it's worth a try. 70$ compared to roughly 250$ minimum to use AICS mags? Game changer.

I was wondering if these would need inletting on factory Rem 700 stocks...as a $70 add-on to a $270 stock I don't particularly wont, I don't like it. As a $70 drop-in to my current stock, yeah I like it.

On the other hand I could say screw it and just get the Badger M5 and build an M40 clone.

That would be really nice. I went with Wyatt bottom metal simply because I didn't feel like fitting my HS stock to Badger Ordnance BM.
