  • Hi All,
My father in law is handing me down his Marlin 28. He hasn't used it much, but it looks in good shape. Knowing its an older gun, how much use can it get for day to day activities, like skeet or hunting? I intend to take it to a smith when I get back home for a full inspection.
    Thanks.

How old are we talking? No reason you can't use it assuming you can find appropriately powered shells for it (or load your own). Parts are probably tough to find so I'd try to find at least basic repair parts if you intended to use it regularly
