How does the state look at turkey hunting in a field that was just drilled for corn. I've done it. The farmer calls me and says the turkey are digging up all his seed.
Drilled in should not be considered baiting since it is a standard agricultural practice. That said, broadcasting wheat for a cover crop is standard ag practice but will get you in a jam if you’re dove hunting that field after it was spread

Gee whiz, I'm a dumb schlub going out to hunt. How large a radius around my stand/blind do I need to inspect for bait? It's a bitch being required to prove a negative.

I wonder where this ever went?
Its probably been scrubbed by now.
This happened in Dorchester, so its probably already been managed somehow by local leadership.
Maybe becuase they didn't kill any birds it'll all be a wash?
No harm no Fowl, and all of that sort of thing.

I just looked them up on case search out of curiosity and all are listed as pre-paid guilty, so they just paid the fine

I just found out a few minutes ago myself.
Talk about timing. Came on here and saw your post!
I talked to a few folks who all said the same thing when I posted the other day. That they were set up.
They should have went to court and saved themselves a few dollars maybe. If your local you can get away with damn near anything these days. Doesn't matter what it is either.

    Free?? State
He was replaced under new governor anyway. While this may or may not have been true, it was a setup by angry ex-son in law.

i tip my feeders and put the legs inside during spring turkey.

The kid with no stamp and no gun probably loses his hunting privileges for good.

Had a buddy get caught fishing trout opening day at 5:28. They suspended his license for 6 months.
