Boy they must have mailed a BIG batch of them on the 12th. Mine came today also. I mailed it on 2/9/12. Actually turned around much quicker than I though it was going to be.

Who all is going shopping Saturday???

I'm looking for a 1911 in 9mm and also a 1911 in 22lr. Anybody spot anything good in the Baltimore County, Harford County, Cecil County area let me know.

Got my "APPROVED" letter last night. Freaked my wife out, as she immediately assumed a letter from MSP was a Bad Thing. She's already freaked-out enough with my involvement opposing the crap-flood of bad legislation currently being levied upon us, so I opened the envelope and handed her the contents without reading it.

"I don't understand. What does this mean?"

It means I'm officially on the books as a Designated Collector of Firearms, and that takes some of the guesswork away from the politicians who want to try to play the statistics in their favor. It also damages the credibility of their claims that firearms owners are part of the problem (i.e. I don't fit the profile of a "redneck gun-toting yahoo.")

Mailed my application on February 19th and e-mailed Trooper Thompson yesterday afternoon checking on the status. This morning I received an e-mail from Trooper Thompson confirming that I was approved and that the letter was mailed yesterday.
