1. Call for candidates for August 8th
We still have room for a few more candidates to address our membership at the August 8th meeting. If you are a candidate for Delegate, State Senator or Governor and wish to speak, please send an email to info@marylandshallissue.org.
We will accept candidates as the remaining time that we have allows. If there is an over abundance of interest from candidates, we will try to provide another event in which we can put our members in touch with the candidates who have taken positions on our issues.
Maryland Shall Issue is a non-partisan organization and welcomes candidates from any party to apply to speak on August 8th.
Supporters of candidates, feel free to forward this message.
2. Meeting reminder for August 8th
The next meeting of the Maryland Shall Issue membership will be August 8th at 2:00pm at Anne Arundel Fish and Game in Annapolis. This is our annual meeting where the new members of the board as well as the organization's new officers are presented to the general membership. We will be discussing the upcoming primary and general elections as well as discussing what lies ahead for our community in a post-McDonald world.
We'll also be accepting payments for next year's dues.
Please come out and join us and become actively involved in the fight to both protect and advance your rights.
3. Been denied a MD permit?
If you have applied for a permit to carry a firearm with the reason being for the purposes of self-defense and have subsequently been denied for not demonstrating a "good and substantial" reason for issuance of the permit, please contact the attorney named below. We are looking for Maryland residents who have in particular been denied within the last three years.

Mission Statement: Maryland Shall Issue is an all volunteer, non-partisan effort dedicated to the preservation and advancement of all gunowners' rights in Maryland, with a primary goal of CCW reform to allow all law-abiding citizens the right to carry a concealed weapon; and to the education of the community to the awareness that 'shall issue' laws have, in all cases, resulted in decreased rates of violent crime.
