I've seen NRP slow roll by, but rarely do they get out of the truck.

Best was NRP came up by boat, 50% of the people fishing grabbed their gear and ran for the parking lot. NRP checked those that stayed, lol.

Why bother? Do they even show up in court, or is it just another form of catch and release?

Maybe it’s because they’re too busy citing current citizens who know better for breaking wildlife regulations or breaking other laws.
Then they go after the ones who might be doing something when they drive by and look at them.
Which number is greater do you think?

    Interesting few days...

I was pretty sure I saw something Thu or Fri that was out of place right now, but confirmed it today... Juncos are coming in, about 3 weeks or so early... and ahead of White Throat Sparrows.

Odd, though, that there are still a couple of Osprey hanging about.

OK, John... Today was White Throats and a crapton of Kinglets.

    Something is happening.
Used to love Kinglets. Very tame, you could stand 5 feet away and watch them work. There would be a loose flock of Kinglets, Titmice, Chickadees, Brown Creepers, Nuthatches (mostly Red-Breasted but some White Breasted) and Downy Woodpeckers working their way through the pines and you could just walk with them.

Sorry for the crappy photo I took in Hagerstown, if you zoom in you'll see a bald eagle sitting on the roof. He was flying with a rabbit but dropped it in the street. I think he's wondering if it's safe to retrieve it. Ended up flying off without it.

One last, brave dandelion for the year and a hoverfly of some kind happy to have it. Spotted yesterday.
