Metal detecting in the central Pa area, York Co specifically? Any good not so trashy areas or should I just sell my Fisher? Any Pa laws I need to be aware of outside of common sense?
Too bad they really frown on it at the Gettysburg battlefield.....probably some really nice pieces underground among those fields and woods........
Yeah, most of that stuff will never be dug up.... rusting to nothing. Id LOVE a day between Devils Den & Lil Roundtop.
Check your hips, knees and brain housing group old fart...plenty metal there I'll bet.
Prolly rusty though... All that salt.
Heck, there are probably still missing bodies in that area.......
Beaches after a big storm are the best from what i hear .
Two days before Gettysburg was the (tiny by comparison) Battle of Hanover.
Hell, it's not impossible that there's a remnant or two right in your back yard.
There is a lot of gold in the streams in York county. Look it up. The issue will be finding a spot that isn't on private property. Tons and Tons of spots to metal detect and stuff. Google gold mining in York county.
Most places are hunted out. When I was a kid my Dad and I would go out all the time and find some great stuff.
