When they show up at Wal Mart or Sportsman's stores they are $5.99. Trick is right place right time. Bass Pro periodically has the Remington, but they want $13.99 for a tin. Ridiculous.

With availability + hazmat + shipping...that's not at all an unreasonable price. I can't even match that as a dealer, I don't think.

As long as people will pay these prices they will continue to charge them.

If you need them just to shoot, I saw Hafers in WV had 100pc packs in stock for hunters this past week.

I just bought a thousand through BassPro, $127 (with tax) they cover hazmat/shipping if you pick up at their store.

Not like the time I bought every can Dick's had on their shelf when they were getting out of the reloading/black powder buisness and I got 'em for a penny each (think this was around 1998).

Even better was Kmart going out of the ammo business and I bought 12k rounds of .22LR for about 1.5 cents a round on sale up in Baltimore on my way home from work. Didn't last long, I was feeding an American 180 with 360 round drums for a while. But fun.

13 cents/cap now? Pricey, but better than none.

It's just what they cost retail now....at least until the prices fall. After this BP season it'll probably start showing up again.
