There are many good restaurants that can warrant a 40 mile round trip. Whether or not it satisfies your taste buds is hard to say. I've driven to Kitty Knight House (North of Galena, MD) for a good meal and view. It's about 50 miles round trip. I also frequent a couple in Havre De Grace and North East.

It's under construction. I saw the sign and building going up 2 weeks ago. I might be up that way again next week. I'll take a look at the progress.
