His net worth might look like it is negative (since it looks like he's borrowed $500K for a house and $300K for student loans), but I suspect his wife has other assets that he does not have to disclose and that most of their net worth is hidden in her accounts.

Last year he made more than $150,000 in speaking fees (Jet Blue paid him $147K for a series of speeches in 2015). His wife makes $141K as a Baltimore district judge. She'll get a pension too, for life. Together they're pulling in about $350+K a year?

His problem is that he spent 8 years as governor. When he needed something, he just raised taxes, or created a new one like taxing the rain. Now that he is out, he wants to continue his lifestyle as is without sacrificing anything. He hasn't yet figured out how to tax people while unemployed, so clearly somebody needs to GIVE him a nice cushy job.
