Well Armed Vagrant
I purchased them online. And, to transfer to another dealer would also cost me more money that I do not want to spend. The last time I purchased a handgun was thirty years ago. I did take the currently required video course.
I haven't decided if I would sue yet. I'm leaning that way.
If you are not a lawyer or even if you are you never know how any legal action will go.
Not sure if you mentioned what day you purchased. I received an ND on Wednesday for a 5/11 purchase, which is 102 days, but my April 11th purchase took 112 days, so it looks like they may actually be reducing the wait time a bit.
I was talking to a dealer today and he said that they had some big meeting with the MSP about the new law, and basically every question was answered with "I don't know". He said that as far as post Oct. 1st requirements for previous Oct. 1st purchases, MSP couldn't even answer if the new procedures would be required, because basically the state legislature have yet to give any details about the law's implementation.
