Just not as fast as anyone would like.
yea, hence my "unconstitutional" notation, bc its frankly bs but its the process and until we can get it changed, we gotta play by their rules. Sadly I'll have to ship it to a VA/PA/WV FFL first to get the magazines, then to a local FFL to get the gun itself; since MGW wont even ship the magazines to a MD FFL (they dont offer blocking) and the magazines are 17 rounds.

According to Rachel, the person in question, it is remotely true; his implication is that while it has to be processed, it doesn't need the sample etc process, it's merely a submit and discuss on the board, since it's functionally the same it'll be approved.
Right - it will be approved, but I thought what he was implying was that if it was a 1911, then it was by default already approved and didn't need to be specifically added to the roster.

I actually got the lady to get a couple SDS Imports/tisas onto the roster. They were like the exact same as others on but had rails.

    I believe Tylers does blocking.

Well I asked, I'll have to go to a VA/WV/PA FFL and ship to them, go accept the magazines then ship to a MD FFL, just need to double check and ensure THAT is legal under the ATF.

    Yes it's legal .

Each individual situation needs to do the math of multiple transfers and shipping vs magazine costs ( or magazine price differentials ) to figure break-even.

Yes , Maryland sucks . It's all bogus and unconstitutional.

the alternative is jail time and loss of rights at the hands of the gestapo.... most of us can't afford the legal fight so we're stuck
Wasn’t that exact reason the founding fathers created the 2nd amendment?

I would say you would be wasting your time and money doing a double transfer, double shipping cost, and all of the driving involved to save $50 on a magazine.

If you do choose to put in all of the extra effort to keep the factory mags I would call Genesis. https://www.mdshooters.com/threads/company-information-genesis-firearms.37419/
They used to allow you to order from them pick up your mags and they would transfer free of charge to a partner FFL on the Maryland side of the bridge. This would probably be your best option since you live in SOMD.

iirc the one i was looking at came with 3 or 4 magazines, thats a substantial difference in cost. The gun exchange program limits me a bit, my M&P15 to sell to them is not legal for sale inside MD anymore since its a pre-2013 ban AR and not a HBAR; so I can't even sell it to another MD resident. It's kinda stupid, and given the recent fvckery in the 4th I don't see FSA2013 going away anytime soon

Genesis prolly would be who I would go to anyway, I was looking into it a little bit; my inlaws are near six flags so I just make it a family trip for the little kids with a pit stop and the gas isn't really "wasted" anyway lol

Sure you can sell, just throw in a hbar barrel and give the buyer the old one. Or sell the lower with no upper for what ever the whole gun is worth and give them the old upper to use when they are out of state.
