    Just to be clear this is a sporter I'm turning into an a4 clone.

    It's already drilled through the side for Lymans. I don't care if those holes are left open.

    I have the Gibbs Scope (m73g), Rings and repro redfield mount.

    I need a smith who can do the job. Any recommendations?

    I also might get the stock bedded....

    It's not for vintage sniper matches. I'm not fond of the course of fire.

    In competition I currently shoot Garand, springfield, vintage, modern military and rimfire. I'd add a second vintage rifle before I did sniper. And then there is handgun.......

    just bumping this up there....

    Surely someone knows a gunsmith around here who is taking work and could do a good job on this project?

    I've tried James River (they will not drill and tap for a customer).

    I'd like to find someone local before sending it out of state....
