Need new sights for my 1911

I picked up an RIA 1911 last year. It's nickeled, not parkerized. Unfortunately, the sights are nickled, too. I took her to the smith Saturday for a beaver tail grip safety, a bigger thumb safety, and a few other things. The problem is they don't do staked front sights anymore. Is there a local guy who would do this? I probably won't be getting her back until July, so I have some time to search. Thanks.

Bollingers Gunsmithing should be able to and can refinish it if you like.

curious, why don't you want a dovetailed front sight? my delta gold cup had a staked front sight and when that came loose recently, hatfields milled a dovetail and put in a fiber optic front sight.

The shop would be milling through a nickeled component. The nickeling could peel or flake from that point.
